Russel Metals to invest $7 million in Ontario upgrade

Toronto, Ontario-based metals distribution company Russel Metals Inc. announced Thursday a $7 million investment to upgrade its two cut-to-length lines at its B&T Steel division in Stoney Creek, Ontario. The company will be adding a Red Bud Industries stretcher leveler to its light gauge line and a Butech Bliss synergy hydraulic roller leveler to its heavy gauge line.

The installation involves a two-phased approach starting with the light gauge line in early 2013 immediately followed by the heavy gauge line in mid-2013.
