Rio Tinto to strengthen iron ore search

The world's second largest iron ore producer Rio Tinto said that it will spend $190 million over the next five years searching for iron ore across the north-west of Western Australia to meet the surging demand from Asia. Rio and rivals such as BHP Billiton are expanding mines and developing new ones worldwide as prices for commodities including iron ore, coal and copper climb to records on surging demand.
