RG steel enters HDG culvert market, offers June shipments

Sparrows Point, Maryland-based steelmaker RG Steel, LLC plans to produce hot dipped galvanized (HDG) coils at its coating operations at Martins Ferry, Ohio. Material in 16 and 14 gauge will be available to ship during the week of June 20, 2011.

In support of culvert sales, RG Steel has retained the services of BSP, Inc. as contract representatives for this product line. According to a company press release, "The principals of BSP have significant steel industry sales and marketing experience and complement RG Steel's full-time sales force."

David A. Howard, Chief Commercial Officer of RG Steel also commented, "They will be able to provide the expertise and service essential to the culvert industry and help to re-establish our plants as premier suppliers to this industry."
