Knox, Indiana-based J.W. Hicks, Inc., a refractory manufacturer for the metals industry, announced Wednesday plans to expand its two operations in Knox, while continuing its Merrillville, Indiana operations.
The first expansion will include a 15,000 square foot (1,393 square meters) refractory recycling facility. The second expansion will be a 112,000 square foot (10,405 square meters) precast shape manufacturing facility, which will be the largest facility of its kind in the United States.
