Rebar costs decline in greater Buenos Aires area in April

Rebar costs declined 1.4 percent in April, month-on-month, according to data released this week by the nation’s institute of statistics and census, Indec.

Rebar was among the main products whose cost declined or increased the least in the general expenses category in April, on a month-on-month basis.

According to Indec, cost of civil construction in the greater Buenos Aires area rose 9.1 percent in April, month­-on-­month, and 15.5 percent in the January-April period, year-on-year.

Cost of materials, workforce and general expenses in April rose 2.1, 15 and 6.4 percent, respectively, month-on-month, and 13.5, 15.7 and 22.7 percent in the Jan-April period, year-on-­year.
