Rebar and civil construction costs rise in greater Buenos Aires area in February

Both the cost of civil construction and rebar in the greater Buenos Aires area rose in February, according to data released by the nation’s institute of statistics and census, Indec.

According to Indec, cost of civil construction in the greater Buenos Aires area in February rose 2.1 percent, month-on-month.

Cost of materials, workforce and general expenses in the same month improved by 3, 0.2 and 9.5 percent, respectively, in the month-on-month analysis.

Rebar was among the main products whose cost increased the least in the general expenses category. Rebar costs rose 0.3 percent in February, month-on-month, according to Indec’s data.
