Wednesday, 13 April 2011 15:02:45 (GMT+3)   |

Raspadskaya Coal Company (Raspadskaya), one of the largest coking coal producers in Russia, has announced that in Q1 this year its raw coal production volume increased by 39 percent quarter on quarter mainly as a result of the reopening of the first coalface after the accident at Raspadskaya Mine.

Meanwhile, in Q1, Raspadskaya's raw coal sales volume of hard coking coal grades rose by almost 50 percent to 360,000 mt, while its coal concentrate sales volume of semi‐hard coking coal grades increased by four percent to 935,000 mt, both compared to Q4 2010.

In Q1, Raspadskaya did not export its coal production, supplying only Russian metallurgical and coke plants.
