Raspadskaya launches 2.7 million mt coking coal longwall

Raspadskaya Coal Company (Raspadskaya), one of the largest coking coal producers in Russia, has announced the launch of its longwall 5а -7-28 bis.

Commercial coal reserves in the longwall 5а-7-28 bis total 2.7 million mt, with the panel of coal 254 m long and the extraction column 1,914 m long. Average monthly output in the first stage is expected to be 150,000 mt. Coal will be extracted by a JOY-3 shearer and further transferred by belt conveyors to the Raspadskaya processing plant.
