Rail modernization with ArcelorMittal Steelton participation concludes in Pennsylvania

US, Pennsylvania State's Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) recently concluded modernization of lines of trolley Route 101 and 102, with funding  from the federal American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
 
SEPTA invested $34 million in stimulus funding to complete six infrastructure improvement projects to improve service reliability, safety, and rider comfort on the Route 101 and Route 102 Trolley lines.
 
Within the scope of the modernization project, ArcelorMittal Steelton supplied rail lines worth $3.7 million.
 
Speaking at the opening ceremony, Dave Wirick, general manager of ArcelorMittal Steelton, said, "We are proud to be the rail supplier for this stimulus-funded project and remain committed to providing our customers with high-quality products."
 
ArcelorMittal's Steelton facility is one of only three rail producers in the US.
