According to the statistics released by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE), in August this year producer prices in French industry rose by 1.2 percent compared to July, following a more moderate month-on-month rise of 0.4 percent recorded in July. Producer prices for manufactured products rose by 1.3 percent in August compared to July and were up 2.4 percent compared to the same month of last year.
In August this year, prices for imported manufactured products continued to rise with a 0.9 percent month-on-month increase, following an increase of 0.8 percent recorded in July compared to June. Import prices for manufactured products in France in August were up 2.1 percent compared to the same month last year.
