Primetals to supply EAF for Hydnum Steel’s green steel plant

UK-based plantmaker Primetals Technologies plans to supply an electric arc furnace to Spain-based Hydnum Steel for the latter’s green steel plant in Puertollano, Spain, according to media reports.

The furnace will have an annual production capacity of 1.5 million mt.

The plant, which will be the first green steel mill on the Iberian Peninsula to use green hydrogen throughout the manufacturing process, will have an annual production capacity of 600,000 mt, as SteelOrbis previously reported.
