UK-based plantmaker Primetals Technologies has announced that South Korean steelmaker Hyundai Steel has issued the final acceptance certificates for the large bar mill and small bar and wire rod mill supplied by Primetals Technologies to the company’s Dangjin special steel production facility.

According to Primetals, designed to roll one million mt per year, the large bar mill annually produces a total of one million metric tons of end products and also produces billets for the small bar and wire rod mill, which has an annual production capacity of 800,000 metric tons. The small bar and wire rod mill is designed for low-temperature rolling, which improves the metallurgical structure and mechanical properties of end products and enhances flexibility during the rolling operation.
