Poland’s Cognor to build new light sections mill

Polish steelmaker Cognor Group will invest PLN 800 million ($197.59 million) to build a new light sections mill in Siemianowice Śląskie, according to local media reports.

The new mill will have an annual production capacity of 450,000 mt of angle bars, flat bars, T-sections and U-sections, and will create 150 new jobs in the region.

The construction works for the new mill, which will start on August 17, are scheduled to be completed in December 2024.
