Philippines’ SteelAsia ships high-strength steel bars to Canada

The Philippines-based steel producer SteelAsia Manufacturing Corporation has shipped more than 36,000 mt of high-strength steel bars to Canada, according to media reports.

The products, which were manufactured with green steel, will be used for infrastructure construction in the country.

This shipment is the company’s fifth batch of exports to Canada, increasing SteelAsia’s export revenue to $24 million.

Meanwhile, in May, the company produced its first steel bar as Cebu plant enters the final phases of commissioning, as SteelOrbis previously reported.
