Peruvian iron ore output up 0.13 percent in January-August

Iron ore production at Peru’s only producer, Shougang Hierro Peru, was up by 3.55 percent year on year in August this year, according to data issued by the country’s mines and energy ministry.
 
Shougang produced 692,500 mt of the commodity in August, up from 668,730 mt in the same month of 2015.
 
In the first eight months of this year, Peruvian iron ore output totaled 5.53 million mt, increasing by 0.13 percent year on year.
