Pangang Group to install two continuous annealing furnaces at Xichang

Chinese state-owned enterprise China Metallurgical Group Corporation (MCC) has announced that WISfur, a company belonging to MCC subsidiary WISDRI (Wuhan), has inked a contract with Sichuan Province-based Chinese steelmaker Pangang Group for the installation of continuous annealing furnaces No. 1 and No. 2. at Pangang Group's Xichang plant.

The annual output capacities of the continuous annealing furnaces No. 1 and No. 2 will be 900,000 mt and 800,000 mt respectively. The steel sheet products produced will be supplied to the automotive and household appliance sectors. The project will be commissioned at the end of 2013.
