Pangang Group produces first batch of cold rolled titanium coil

Sichuan Province-based Chinese steelmaker Pangang Group has announced that it has successfully produced its first batch of cold rolled (CR) titanium coil, consisting of two CR titanium coils, one of 5.07 mt and the other of 6.73 mt.
 
This cold rolled titanium project is divided into two phases, with an annual capacity of 2,000 mt in the first phase and 8,000 mt in the second phase. The titanium coil annealing and pickling line of the project was put into production on December 18, 2011.
 
Meanwhile, Pangang Group has also announced that the content of vanadium in molten iron at its iron workshop stood at 0.311 percent in December 2011, constituting its highest level for 2011.
 
In 2011 up to December 15, the iron workshop had produced 246,400 mt of vanadium slag.
