Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports up 26.8 percent in June

Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports amounted to 439,151 mt in June this year, decreasing by 11.8 percent compared to May and up 26.8 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Pakistan Federal Bureau of Statistics (PFBS). The value of these imports in June was $102.09 million, decreasing by 10.6 percent month on month and up 3.14 percent year on year.
 
Meanwhile, Pakistan's iron and steel imports in June amounted to 382,296 mt, up 21.3 percent on month-on-month basis and rising by 69 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. In the given month, the value of Pakistan's iron and steel imports was $197.38 million, increasing by 28.5 percent month on month and up 11.3 percent year on year.
