Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports up 16 percent in February

Pakistan's iron and steel scrap imports amounted to 175,825 mt in February this year, declining 14.21 percent compared to January and up 16 percent year on year, according to the data released by the Pakistan Federal Bureau of Statistics (PFBS). The value of these imports in February was $69.38 million, declining by 14.79 percent month on month and up 27.17 year on year.

Meanwhile, Pakistan's iron and steel imports in February amounted to 181,827 mt, up 23.44 percent on year-on-year basis and down 10.06 percent compared to the previous month. In the month in question, the value of Pakistan's iron and steel imports was $134,53 million, increasing by 29.94 percent year on year and down 9.39 percent month on month.
