Overhaul details of Chinese steel mills as of September 13

The China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) has issued the details of overhauls being carried out or due to be carried out by Chinese steel mills as of September 13.
 
According to the CISA, as of September 13 a total of 49 blast furnaces have been halted or are planned to be halted for capital repairs, causing a potential output shortfall of 5.533 million mt. Meanwhile, overhaul work is being carried out or will be carried out on 32 rebar production lines affecting an output of up to 870,000 mt. Other capital repairs being carried out or planned to be carried out affect 14 plate production lines causing an estimated output shortfall of 1.185 million mt, 12 hot rolled coil (HRC) production lines with a shortfall of 1.305 million mt, three cold rolled coil (CRC) production lines impacting output of 110,000 mt, five steel strip production lines affecting output of 172,000 mt, as well as two section steel production lines resulting in a shortfall of 65,000 mt.
