Oman-based Jindal Shadeed Iron and Steel, subsidiary of Indian steelmaker Jindal Steel and Power Limited, has commissioned its 1.4 million mt per year capacity rebar mill at its Sohar Port steel complex, according to local media reports.

The new rebar mill makes Jindal Shadeed the largest integrated steelmaker in Oman. The new capacity will increase Oman’s domestic production capacity and help reduce the dependency on imports of the construction industry in the country.
