Nucor to expand special bar quality production

Charlotte, North Carolina, US-based Nucor Corporation has announced that it has approved $290 million financing for special bar quality production expansion over the next two years.
 
The projects at Nucor's steel mills at Memphis, Tennessee, at Norfolk, Nebraska and Darlington, South Carolina, to be completed with the $290 million in finance, will add a combined 1 million mt to the special bar quality and wire rod capacities of Nucor.
 
Nucor expects to complete the projects in question by the end of 2013.
