Nucor announces new flat rolled price increase

Nucor Sheet Mill Group has announced that, effective immediately, they are increasing prices on their flat rolled products. The new increase will be reflected as such on the following products:
Hot rolled, $30/net tons ($33.07/metric ton)
Cold rolled, $20/net tons ($22.05/metric ton)
     Galvanized, $20/net tons ($22.05/metric ton)
The new price increases will be reflected on orders placed for October 2005 production. Nucor states the changes are necessary to reflect increased demand as well as rising raw materials costs. The company hinted that these factors may contribute to further price increases.
