Australia-based iron ore developer NSL Consolidated (NSL) has announced that it has conducted the first full load test at its Kurnool dry separation iron ore plant in India.

Full commissioning of the plant continues as the company finalizes optimization of the process capable of producing up to 58 percent iron grade ore, with completion scheduled for June 30 this year.

Over the coming third quarter, the company expects a gradual ramp-up in production and sales to the targeted Phase 1 production capacity of 200,000 mt per year.
According to the company's statement, the Phase 2 wet beneficiation plant to produce final product grades of 58-62 percent Fe will come into operation later in 2012, with sales expected in the first half of 2013. The second phase is expected to add another 200,000 mt of iron ore to the annual production capacity of Kurnool, increasing to 400,000 mt per year.
