Northern Iron sees record quarterly iron ore concentrate output in Q4

Australia-based miner Northern Iron has announced that in the quarter ended on December 31 it produced 1.4 million mt of iron ore, falling 11 percent compared to the previous quarter. In the given quarter, the company's iron ore concentrate output amounted to 563,000 mt, setting a new quarterly production record. In the given quarter, Northern Iron's iron ore concentrate sales amounted to 552,000 mt, down six percent compared to the previous quarter.

In the full year of 2014, the company produced 2,342,000 mt iron ore concentrate, with an increase of 18 percent, while its iron ore concentrate sales amounted to 2,385,000 mt, rising 24 percent, both yearon year.

Northern Iron stated that in the current quarter it is focusing on sourcing financial and other support from customers and stakeholders to improve the working capital and overall operating position of the company.
