After one year of tests and trial use, the DC53-S high grade cold-work mould steel produced by Dalian-based Chinese steelmaker Northeast Special Steel has entered the Taiwanese market, with orders already received from Taiwanese companies.

The product in question features a high degree of hardness, high wear resistance and good ductility, and is widely used in industries such as hardware and home appliances. In China, DC53-S accounts for over a 90 percent share of the market in question, and has been used as a substitute for imports.
