North American rig counts, week ending August 27

According to the most recent report by Baker Hughes, the North American rotary rig count increased 5 to 1,656 for the week ending August 27. This reflects a year-on-year increase of 657 rigs. Texas noted the greatest increase in rig count from last week, increasing by 13 since Baker Hughes’ last report, from 716 to 729.
