NMDC’s iron ore output rises 12 percent in April-January

India's state-owned miner National Mineral Development Corporation (NMDC) has announced that during the first ten months ended January 31 of the financial year 2013-14 its iron ore output amounted to 23.23 million mt, up 12 percent compared to the corresponding period of the previous year. In the given period, the company's iron ore output from its Karnataka mines stood at 7.64 million mt, while the iron ore output from its Chhattisgarh mines was 15.6 million mt.
 
During the April-January period, NMDC's iron ore shipments increased by 15.4 percent year on year to 24.28 million mt.
