Indian state-run miner NMDC Limited increased production from its flagship iron ore mine at Bailadila in Chhattisgarh state by five percent year on year in June this year to 1.86 million mt, a company statement said on Thursday, July 9.

The miner increased its production at the KIrandul mining project, also in Chhattisgarh, by 24 percent year on year to 847,000 mt, the statement said.

The higher production from its assets in Chhattisgarh was achieved despite the lockdown and measures taken by the company to contain the spread of Covid-19 and the facilities being closed due to various factors for seven days during June, the statement said.
