India's state-owned miner National Mineral Development Corporation (
NMDC) has announced that in the full financial year of 2015-16 (ended March 31) it produced 28.32 million mt of
iron ore. The company's
iron ore sales in the given period amounted to 28.87 million mt.
During the given year,
NMDC's
iron ore output and sales from its Karnataka mines amounted to 11.72 million mt and 12.47 million mt, respectively, while the
iron ore output from its Chhattisgarh mines totaled 16.60 million mt and its sales from the Chhattisgarh mines reached 16.40 million mt.
