Russian steelmaker NLMK Group has announced that in 2014 the next-generation EAF plant, NLMK Kaluga, part of NLMK Group’s Long Products Division, has significantly expanded its product mix. The plant began delivering new rebar and angle specifications, including 25 mm x 4 mm and 75mm x 6 mm angles, to its customers in the Central and Volga Regions of Russia.
In 2014, NLMK Kaluga shipped 288,400 mt of billet, 625,000 mt of rebar, and 2,800 mt of angles.

Flexible process solutions implemented at NLMK Kaluga allow for swift readjustment of the rolling mill that produces long products, based on customer requirements or market conditions.
NLMK Kaluga plans to master an even wider range of sections for use in the construction industry. In 2015, the plant plans to offer its customers 63 mm х 6 mm, 50 mm х 5 mm, 100 mm х 9 mm and 90 mm х 8 mm angles.
