Japanese steel giant Nippon Steel has announced that, in connection with the company's suspension of galvanized steel pipe deliveries after galvanized steel pipes processed at its Kimitsu Works were discovered to be insufficiently galvanized, the Japan Water Works Association temporally suspended their on-site inspections at Kimitsu.

Nippon Steel said that it is now awaiting a follow-up inspection by the Japan Water Works Association, subsequent to which it will take measures to ensure stable manufacturing conditions and to improve its quality assurance system toward the resumption of the delivery of galvanized steel pipes.
