New motor vehicle registrations in Turkey up 57.2% in July from June

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in July this year new motor vehicle registrations in Turkey increased by 29.5 percent year on year to 141,786 units and up by 57.2 percent on month-on-month basis.

New passenger car registrations in July this year totaled 86,522 units, rising by 78.7 percent as compared to June and up 37.7 percent year on year. Passenger cars accounted for 61 percent of total new motor vehicle registrations in the given month.

On the other hand, new small truck registrations in July increased by 80.8 percent month on month and were up 42.8 percent year on year, amounting to 19,965 units. Small truck registrations constituted 14.1 percent of total new registrations in July this year.
