Less than a year after commencing the first phase of operations in the Port of Lazaro Cardenas’ second specialized containers terminal (TEC II), APM Terminals has reportedly initiated the acquisition of equipment for the US$900 million project.

The Project, which is located alongside the TEC I Sea Maersk Line, will have an annual capacity of more than 2 million containers a year, according to sources at APM Terminals.

Sources added that TEC II will be the most automated container terminal not only in Mexico but in Latin America.
