New motor vehicle registrations in Turkey up 57.3% in Mar from Feb

According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in March this year new motor vehicle registrations in Turkey increased by 65.3 percent year on year to 106,425 units and rose by 57.3 percent on month-on-month basis.
 
New passenger car registrations in March this year totaled 60,845 units, increasing by 60.7 percent as compared to February and up 71 percent year on year. Passenger cars accounted for 57.2 percent of total new motor vehicle registrations in the given month.

On the other hand, new small truck registrations in March increased by 51.15 percent month on month and were up 119.26 percent year on year, amounting to  17,626  units. Small truck registrations constituted 16.6 percent of total new registrations in March this year.
