Ncondezi upgrades its coal resources in Mozambique

Ncondezi Coal Company Limited, a coal exploration and development company with coal assets in Tete Province in Mozambique, has announced a coal resource update on its complete Ncondezi project.
 
According to the announcement, the total JORC coal resource at the Ncondezi project has been upgraded to 4.66 billion mt as a result of additional coal resources being classified. In the project, a maiden coal resource of 716 million mt has been classified in the East Block, of which 65 percent is classified in the indicated category, while inferred resources of 1.2 billion mt and 898 million mt have been classified in the West and River blocks respectively. 
 
The total resource figure represents an increase of 157 percent compared to the maiden 1.8 billion mt JORC coal resource classified in February 2010.
