NBS: China’s crude steel output up 4.5 percent in June

In June this year, China's crude steel output amounted to 69.29 million mt, up 4.5 percent year on year, with this growth rate 1.9 percentage points higher than that recorded in May. During the given month, the average daily crude steel output in China amounted to 2.31 milion mt, hitting a new record high, up 1.7 percent month on month.

In the first half of the year, China's crude steel output amounted to 411.91 million mt, up 3.0 percent year on year. Based on the average daily crude steel output of 2.276 million mt recorded in the first half of the year, it is expected that China's crude steel output will reach 831 million mt for the whole of 2014.
