Nanjing Iron and Steel plans to build new steel mill

The Chinese Iron and Steel Association (CISA) has stated that Jiangsu Province-based Chinese steel producer Nanjing Iron and Steel Co. is planning to build a new steel mill, including a continuous casting workshop, with an annual steel production capacity of 3.5 million mt.

Jiang Youchun, vice president of Nanjing Iron and Steel, has signed a contract for construction work on the project with state-owned China Metallurgical Group Corporation. Work on the project is expected to be completed in September 2013.
