Modernization work nears completion at Ashinskiy

The construction of the casting annealing furnace at the maintenance shop of Russian steelmaker Ashinskiy metallurgical works is nearing completion.

The modernization of equipment at the core of computer network of Ashinskiy metallurgical works is continuing, in addition to certification work.

Before the end of the year, a large-scale energy audit with a cost of $353,000 will be held at the mill as part of the state energy conservation program. Subsequently, the first phase of implementation of the automated control system for energy consumption is scheduled to start.
