MOC: Average steel prices in China decline during May 1-7

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during the May 1-7 period this year the overall average finished steel price in China moved down.

In the given period, the average prices of high-speed wire rod, common steel plate and rebar decreased by 0.8 percent, 0.8 percent and 0.7 percent, week on week, respectively.  

In the same period, the average prices of coking coal, smoke-free lump coal and thermal coal edged down by 0.8 percent, 0.6 percent and 0.3 percent, respectively, week on week.
