MOC: Average finished steel price in China up one percent

On April 1, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced that during last week (March 23-29) the overall average finished steel price in China rose by one percent week on week.

In the given week, average prices of high-speed wire rod and rebar in China increased by 1.6 percent and 1.4 percent week on week, respectively.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China increased by 2.1 percent compared to the previous week. The average price of nickel (Ni >= 99.2%) declined by 0.1 percent compared to the previous week.

In addition, in the week in question, the average price of coal in China decreased by 0.6 percent week on week. In particular, the average prices of anthracite coal, thermal coal and coking coal declined by 0.4 percent, 0.8 percent and 0.2 percent week on week, respectively.
