MOC: Average finished steel price in China up 0.1 percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (January 18-24) the overall average finished steel price in China increased by 0.1 percent week on week.

In the given week, average prices of welded steel pipe, channel and rebar in China rose by 0.7 percent, 0.2 percent and 0.1 percent week on week, respectively.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China increased by 0.4 percent compared to the previous week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) rose by two percent compared to the previous week.

In addition, in the week in question, the average price of coal in China increased by 0.1 percent week on week. In particular, the average prices of anthracite coal and coking coal rose by 0.8 percent and declined by 0.4 percent, respectively, while the average price of thermal coal remained stable week on week.
