MOC: Average finished steel price in China softens slightly

On July 29, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced that during last week (July 21-27) the overall average finished steel price in China decreased by 0.2 percent compared to the previous week.

In the given week, the average prices of both high speed wire rod and rebar in China decreased by 0.3 percent week on week.

In the given week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China increased by 1.3 percent compared to the previous week. The average price of nickel (Ni >= 99.2%) decreased by 1.2 percent week on week.

In addition, in the week in question, the average price of coal in China decreased by 2.8 percent week on week. The average prices of brown coal, bituminous coal and anthracite coal declined by 5.7 percent, 2.8 percent and 2.2 percent on weekly basis.
