On September 2, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced that during last week (August 25-31) the overall average finished steel price in China was down 0.3 percent week on week.
In the given week, the average prices of steel channels, equal angles and common medium plates in China all decreased by 0.4 percent week on week.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China increased by 0.3 percent compared to the previous week. The average price of nickel (Ni >= 99.2%) declined by 0.3 percent week on week.
In addition, in the week in question, the average price of coal in China remained stable compared to last week. The average prices of brown coal, bituminous coal and anthracite coal were unchanged week on week.
