MOC: Average finished steel price in China down 2.5 percent

China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (April 17-23) the overall average finished steel price in China decreased by 2.5 percent week on week.

In the given week, average prices of high-speed wire rod, rebar and hot rolled sheet in China declined by 2.6 percent, 2.6 percent and 3.8 percent week on week, respectively. 
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China decreased by 0.5 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni > = 99.2%) moved down by 3.2 percent compared to the previous week.

In the week in question, the average price of coal in China decreased by 0.1 percent week on week. In particular, the average prices of anthracite coal and coking coal decreased by 0.4 percent and 0.3 percent respectively, while the average price of thermal coal remained unchanged, all week on week.
