China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (April 3-9) the overall average finished steel price in China decreased by 0.7 percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices of cold rolled sheet, rebar and hot rolled strip in China declined by 2.5 percent, 0.5 percent and 0.8 percent week on week, respectively.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China increased by 0.6 percent week on week. The average price of nickel (Ni > = 99.2%) moved down by two percent compared to the previous week.
In the week in question, the average price of coal in China increased by 0.3 percent week on week. In particular, the average price of thermal coal moved up by 0.5 percent, while the average price of anthracite coal decreased by 0.2 percent and coking coal prices remained unchanged, all week on week.
