China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has announced that during last week (January 11-17) the overall average finished steel pricein China decreased by 0.3 percent week on week.
In the given week, average prices of hot rolled sheet, high-speed wire rod and rebar in China declined by one percent, 0.6 percent and 0.6 percent week on week, respectively.
In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China decreased by 2.2 percent compared to the previous week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) declined by 0.4 percent compared to the previous week.
In addition, in the week in question, the average price of coal in China declined by 0.2 percent week on week. In particular, the average prices of coking coal and thermal coal decreased by 0.5 percent and 0.2 percent, respectively, while the average price of anthracite coal remained stable week on week.
