MOC: Average finished steel price in China down 0.2 percent

On October 13, China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) announced that during last week (October 5-11) the overall average finished steel price in China decreased by 0.2 percent week on week.

In the given week, average prices of hot rolled sheet (HRS) and common medium plate in China declined by 0.7 percent and 0.6 percent week on week, respectively.

In the same week, the average price of non-ferrous metals in China increased by 0.5 percent compared to the previous week. The average price of nickel (Ni> = 99.2%) rose by 0.1 percent compared to the previous week.

In addition, in the week in question, the average price of coal in China decreased by 0.4 percent week on week. In particular, the average prices of thermal coal and coking coal declined by 0.6 percent and 0.3 percent week on week, respectively, while the average price of anthracite coal remained stable week on week.
