MMK's coating shop galvanized output hits 3 million mt

The Russian steel producer Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) has announced that its coating shop has produced three million mt of galvanized steel since the commissioning of its first hot dip galvanizing (HDG) line in July 2002.

MMK's coating shop includes two HDG lines, supplied by Italian plantmaker Danieli, with an annual production capacity of 500,000 mt and 450,000 mt respectively. MMK's second HDG line was commissioned in July 2008.   

Since its establishment in 1973, MMK's coating shop has produced more than 10 million mt of products, the majority of which were electrolytic tinplates.
