MMK-Metiz, the hardware producing subsidiary of the Russian steel producer Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK), has announced that it has started to produce galvanized fasteners in larger diameters.

Expanding its product mix to meet customer needs and strengthening its position in the market, MMK-Metiz has begun to produce galvanized fasteners with 16 mm diameter. The new product is used by the construction, energy and engineering industries. The company expects strong demand for its new product.

MMK-Metiz stated that it immediately received orders for the larger diameter galvanized fasteners when in January it announced to customers that it was going to start production. The company has already produced and shipped the first batch of the new product and has received positive feedback from the customers.
